I was scared, but I was more scared of jumping out, so I rode with him to the Tricounty Shelter. There they put me in a pen. There were lots of other dogs in lots of other pens. It was very noisy! I was afraid to bark. I was very, very hungry, but while I was there I got two meals a day, so that was good.

One day, Tim and Dianne came to the shelter with Grandma and Grandmother. Dianne walked past my pen 3 times. I was very good. I showed her that I knew to go outside to go potty. Then Tim walked by. I sat nicely, with one paw in the air, and I cocked my head, because someone said I was cuter that way.
